Maggot Fest Day 2 Was an Absolute Beast

There was a moment during Low Life’s Maggot Fest set on Friday night when it felt like the Tote’s stage was about to topple onto people in the pit like some sort of a punk rock Pompeii or hardcore Hillsborough. 

To be honest it felt like the stage was about to fall in on itself during most sets on this crazy night of punk rock. 

Now into it’s sixth year, the four-day Melbourne festival showcases the best in Australian punk, hardcore, noise and pop bands. This year saw the addition of three ruff neck New York bands; Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans and Hank Wood and the Hammerheads (who headlined the first of two sold out Tote shows), and made for a wild weekend of punk and beer, get a whole lot wilder.
