Fans of haunted doll aesthetics and the freak folk sisters CocoRosie rejoice. Bianca Casady and the C.i.A. is the creepy new project from the duo's leading half. This dose of eerie, moonlit tinkering recalls the same morbid theatrics that brought CocoRosie a devoted cult following over the years.

Oscar Hocks is first LP from Bianca Casady & the C.i.A., and as expected, it sees a cast of ill-fated characters amble through a world Casady calls her "porno theitor." According to Casady, the single "Daisy Chain" was written in the middle of a migraine. It's the demented yet sweet story of escaped prisoner chained in daisies, picking "wild flowers by the roadside."

The track follows the jangley album teaser "Poor Deal." Regarding her vision for the record, which originally coincided with her play titled Motherhunting, Casady says:

"'Daisy Chain' is the first song I wrote for my record. 'Daisy Chain' was also the title for an exhibition of mine in NYC in 2012. It was a mix of wildflower and erotic imagery."

The song is premiering below prior to the album's official release on January 29 on Atlas Chair, the label run by feminist pioneer JD Samson. You can pre-order Oscar Hocks here from iTunes. The corresponding book can be found online as a limited edition with purchase of the vinyl here and available at live performances.
