Sebastian Bach, the former frontman of New Jersey glam metal band Skid Row, seems to be doing a pretty good job in an ongoing Twitter beef with gun advocates.

Bach tweeted his thanks to Barack Obama after news that the US President was to announce executive actions on gun control on Tuesday. But the longhaired singer soon came under fire from gun advocates who say new laws would circumvent the Constitution and actually increase gun violence.

“Changing gun laws after what happened in San Bernardino and Sandyhook rocks and I don't give a shit what anybody says”, Bach responded to angry tweets.

Bach may have appeared on the country music reality television series Gone Country and whored out his own wedding, but when it comes to gun control the Canadian raises some sane points.

Skid Row’s 1989 self-titled debut album may have opened with the track “Big Guns”, but Bach, who was fired from the band in 1989, makes it clear that he isn't happy with current US gun laws. As an armed anti-government militia standoff in Oregon has turned attention to gun control and Federal government intervention, Bach claims current laws are outdated.

Not everyone agreed.

“To hell with taking our guns” tweeted @JeffHillBilly

“Just wait until he [Obama] goes after the first amendment and you can't write the lyrics you want to anymore” tweeted @merlotcifer

But Bach stood firm. “I’m taking guns from the cocksucker who walks in the school and kills the kids”, he says in one Tweet.

Bach’s autobiography '18 and Life on Skid Row' will be published in April
