Chicago rapper King L, better known as King Louie, was shot in the head today in Chicago. His PR representative confirmed to Noisey that he was shot and is "ok."
Louie's management confirmed the news to the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago hip-hop blog Fake Shore Drive. Chicago police told the Sun-Times that the shooting occurred around 3:30 PM today in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.
Rumors began circulating on social media this afternoon that there was a shooting at 83rd and Pulaski on the city's South Side. Community news Twitter account @SPOTNEWSonIG shared the report, as well as a police scanner recording that appears to confirm it, stating that a Louis Johnson, "black male, 27" was "shot in the head, the left side of the head."

Chicago Sun-Times reporter Sam Charles tweeted that Louie was "awake and talking":
