Ever since I heard the Jim Jones's A Dipset X-mas, my expectations of what a Christmas song could be have totally been shattered. It's a market that is no longer dominated by the Mariah Careys and the Michael Bubles of the world, with new movers and shakers breaking the traditional mould. Toronto's Elliott Vincent Jones' version of "Silent Night," is a track that's a spellbinding, its pop-synth haze proving that Christmas songs can be of any genre. His version will have you leaving tabs of LSD out for Santa in place of milk and cookies.
